High Speed Internet service must be setup in the location before beginning this process.
At this point, the internet service and firewall should be set up and connection to the store should have been established for CCI to connect to complete some tasks in this section. If the internet has not been set up, please refer to section 2 and ensure the internet is working.
This section describes how to set up a single X-Changer.
CCI Support (1-866-860-1660) should be contacted at this point to complete the next steps.
You will execute the procedures in this section once for every X-Changer in the system.
It is important to start with X-Changer A, complete the entire setup for X-Changer A, and power it down before moving on to the next X-Changer.
ONLY ONE OF THE X-CHANGERS SHOULD BE POWERED UP AT ANY TIME DURING THIS COMPUTER HARDWARE CONFIGURATION.
DO NOT EXECUTE THESE STEPS OUT OF ORDER.
Checking Computer Hardware
Check all the connections on the back of all the PC's and related equipment to make sure they are all secure. Occasionally cables can come loose during shipping. Be sure to use the thumbscrews or set screws to securely fasten the cables to the computer.
Above the Dell Computer, there is a mounting bracket which holds the computer down for shipping. Once the X-Changer is installed, it is recommended to remove the mounting bracket to make future maintenance easier.
A laptop with a Wireless and a Wired network connection will be required to setup the internet connection at the location. Make sure you have the required equipment before calling CCI for setup.
