Setting Permissions

OVERVIEW

The Manager/Owner has the ability to set permissions for every employee and give each employee any permission.  Follow the below steps to set permissions for an employee's card.

Setting Permissions

To set permissions for a particular card, your card must have both Allow setting Permissions for Employee Cards AND Allow Viewing Employee Cards on Search selected under CARDS for your specific Card ID.  Please see your store Owner/Manager to update your permission settings.  

IMPORTANT

Any user with Allow setting Permissions for Employee Cards AND Allow Viewing Employee Cards on Search enabled is capable of editing any other user's permissions. However, a user cannot edit their own permissions tied to the specific card being used to make permissions changes, even if 'Allow setting Permissions for Employee Cards' is enabled.

If an individual capable of editing permissions tries to select or deselect any box in their own Permissions screen, no 'Save' button will populate to allow the user to apply changes to their own card.



  1. Insert the Manager Card.

  2. Select Cards from the Menu.

  3. Select SEARCH from the Cards Menu.

  4. Here, you'll see a list of all cards and card types that have been dispensed.   

  5. The card types are always listed by the grouped default permissions type, for example, Technician, Manager, Attendant, etc.  See Default Permission Settings and Functions to see the entire list of default permissions for each card type.

  6. To change permissions for a particular employee, select the 12-digit Card Number:

  7. Select Permissions on the top right corner under Card Details.

  8. When Permissions is selected, you'll see the Card Permissions screen for the selected card number.

  9. Select any box under any category to give that permission to an employee.
