Alliance 2020 Machine Compatibility

What is this?

Alliance ACA machines released after January 1 2020 but prior to April 1 2020 may not work with CCI card reader serial interfaces.

What features will I not have?

You will not have be able to use multi-level pricing or configure any programming parameters through the CCI interface.

NOTE: you would still be able to use PULSE vending but will only be able to charge a single price for all cycles and no modifiers will be available.

How do I tell if my machines are incompatible?

The machines serial number will tell you if your machines are compatible or not. The first 4 digits of the serial number will tell you the manufacturing date.

In this example the following is noted:

  • The first 2 digits of the serial number is the year of manufacturing: 20 = 2020

  • The second 2 digits of the serial number is the month of manufacture: 02 = February

In this case, this machine needs to be updated. 

What do I do about this?

You will need to contact Alliance or your distributor to have them update the machine firmware to make the machine compatible.
